How to find us...

Follow Google maps (below) or your favorite app to our address:

Sisters of St. Francis
Oldenburg Franciscan Center
22143 Main Street
Oldenburg IN, 47036

Coming from Cincinnati or Indy, it's easy to just follow the signs!  From I-74, take exit 149 (Batesville), head North on IN-229 to Oldenburg, and look for the Sisters of St Francis!

As you drive into Oldenburg, you'll come down a hill, turn right at the Oldenburg Village Store and continue on Main Street. The door the the Oldenburg Franciscan Center is at the far end of the convent right before you reach the Oldenburg Post Office.

What's great about our location?

The Oldenburg Franciscan Center is located in the historic “Village of Spires,” a town founded by German settlers in the 1830s.  Tucked in a wooded valley flowing with streams and bordered by farms just North of I-74 between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, OFC offers an easy and economic retreat for those drawn to the beauty of nature, the quiet of the country, and a prayerful place to journey into wholeness with God and find peace.

Hungry?

Oldenburg is best known for its fried chicken, but our local restaurants serve a variety of delicious food.  Here are a few you might want to check out:  The Brau Haus, Kessing Haus Cafe, Pearl Street Pub, or Wagner's Village Inn.  Or you might just grab a sandwich or pizza from the Oldenburg Village Store.  There are also several restaurants in nearby Batesville - within a 10-15 minute drive to satisfy pretty much any of your food cravings.
